Governance

Published policies for certification oversight

These are the program’s governance commitments. Publication is not independent verification of operational compliance.

Certification Committee

The published governance policy assigns scored-dossier review and final certification decisions to a Certification Committee. Fixed terms and rotation are policy provisions intended to support independent decision-making; this page does not establish current membership or execution.

Scientific Advisory Network

The policy provides for category-specific scientific advice on evidence questions and methodology updates. It does not identify or verify current advisors or the size of an operating network.

Conflict of Interest Policy

The policy requires reviewers, committee members, and advisors to disclose relevant financial and professional relationships. Individuals with a material conflict are to be recused. This describes required practice, not proof that no conflicts exist.

Commercial Separation Policy

To preserve the independence of certification decisions, the policy calls for program activities to be separated from commercial services offered by affiliated entities.

"Certification activities are administered separately from consulting, marketing, distribution, and other commercial services."
